I thought it would be fun to share some of the makers sewing up our fabrics. If you'd like to share what you're making, please follow me on instagram and tag me in your post! I'd love to see what you're up and share it on the blog. :)
I've bragged on Karen Stevens before, but I have to show you her sweet needle books and mini wallets she's recently been making. I love how she hand stitches and embellishes around the prints. Follow Karen on instagram to see what she's sewing and visit her shop here. (photos from Karen's instagram feed)
Amy Bornman is a quilt maker. I love this overhead view of her finished quilt. She combines our hand printed fabric with quilting cotton. Follow her adventures in quilting on Instagram or commission a custom flag from her here. (photos from Amy's instagram feed)
Samantha Lindgren is the founder of A Gathering of Stitches, a stitching retreat and maker space in Maine. Here's a photo of her planning something lovely with our fabric bundle. Hear Samantha's interview on the Crafty Planner Podcast and visit her website to book yourself a sewing retreat! The lineup this summer includes Denyse Schmidt and Maura Ambrose! Jess Dunlap is a maker of many sorts, from illustration to wood burning. Right now she's making these free formed, hand stitched pouches and I think they're awesome! You can find her on instagram and her website here. (photos from Jess's instagram feed)
Kristen Axtman is the founder of Brooklyn Haberdashy, a nicely curated notions supply shop in NY. Last year she did a project called 52 Weeks of Fabric Collages that she documented on instagram. I was thrilled to see a little swatch of our Ginkgo pattern show up in one of her collages! Follow Kristen on instagram and her visit her cool shop here. (photos from Kristen's instagram feed)
OK, are you inspired to sew up something of your own!?
Here are some online pattern resources to get you started:
Carolyn Friedlander Crew Pincushion
Carolyn Friedlander Hesperides Quilt Cushion
Purl Soho Easy Drawstring Bags
Most of these patterns take only 1 yard or less of fabric. So head over to the shop and check out our remnant yardage! These are precuts marked down considerably so you can snatch them up and make something yourself. Check out what's available here.
I'd love to see whatever it is you're working on. :)
Happy Sewing!

Thanks for sharing Sara!! It is so nice to see other makers loving your fabric and using it in such inspiring ways. Kristin and I are frequent swatch sharers… we spent the day tougher stitching recently, so I loved seeing her incorporate your fabric into her beautiful work!
