Last weekend, Simon and I went to see Kubo and the Two Strings at the theater. We left totally inspired by the beautiful stop-motion animation and detailed design of the film. Here's a quick behind-the-scenes at Laika studios showing the craftspeople at work. Although computers and robots are integral to making a film like this, many of the props are crafted by hand and most of the characters are moved by hand. Not to mention the hand-sewn costumes and the hand-carved figurines!
