Hand screen-printed, eco-conscious fabrics for designers, makers, and home sewists.
Sara Parker is a textile designer and printmaker with a love of pattern, color, and the natural world. Since 2010, Sara has been crafting a range of screen-printed fabrics, with her husband Simon, exemplary of flora, fauna, shapes, and colors local to her home and studio in rural Georgia. Continually sourcing organic and sustainably-milled base cloth, Sara’s lively patterns migrate the outside in, with a feeling of comfort and care for our environment.
In the fall of 2018, Sara founded Maisilene, a new venture to pursue Sara's enthusiasm for creating happy, functional, and idiosyncratic accessories from her collection of beautifully hand-screen-printed textiles.
Simon is the co-owner of Sara Parker Textiles and Maisilene. He attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in fiber art and film. When he's not printing, he's also the head of Database Maintenance at the University of Georgia Libraries.
Twice a year, we invite the public into our studio to view print demos, purchase yardage and discounted wares.
