Farmers' Market - Saturday, May 28th!

It's our third year participating in our local farmers' market and I love it so much. I love chatting with folks over fresh veggies and hot coffee. I'm a morning person, so getting out of the house at 6:30am is fun for me! I also really like being around hardworking people who care about things like sustainable practices, gardening and cooking. And flowers!

At first I was unsure how folks would react to us at a farmers' market. Athens isn't a huge town, and most people go to a farmer's market to buy produce, not hand-printed textiles and letterpress prints.

Despite my fears, we went for it, and I'm amazed at the overwhelmingly positive reaction we've had to our work from the local community! We meet so many wonderful folks at the market, who continue to support our work and inspire me to keep working hard every day.

So if you have a local market in your town, you should go this weekend! You don't even have to buy anything, just go. It's fun to be immersed in the bustle of a market setting. Seeing all the friendly faces in the open air is a welcome contrast to the usual shopping experience, and it's awesome getting to know your own community!

Use Local Harvest to see is there's a market near you.

Have a great weekend, friends!
